What’s Happening at Bethany:

Upcoming Events & Activities

Annual Meeting

Please mark your calendar for Sunday, January 26th for our Annual Meeting after our church service. Members need to plan to attend and help us make decisions for the 2020 year–we need a voting quorum–we need YOU!! The agenda and handouts will be distributed on Sunday, January 19th at the service.  Friends of Bethany are welcome to attend (without voting) so you will be informed on everything that is happening! Join us for the potluck brunch and meeting.

FAMILY PROMISE

We will be hosting February 16-23 at Longview Nazarene. Training for hosting will take place at Longview Nazarene on February 1, at noon. This is for anyone that has not been at one of the volunteer training sessions yet or would like to see the layout at our new host pairing. Please let Greg Filer or Renee  Pelster know if you are going to attend so that we can provide a head count for Longview Nazarene.

Come to the Table – Table Catechism

Table Catechism again this month! Join us in deepening our faith and fellowship together as we dive into Luther’s Large Catechism over food and refreshments in this monthly  evening education series!

Join us for dinner, drinks, and Luther’s Large Catechism on the 2nd Tuesday, February 11th  at 5:30pm at our newest location—the Urban Saloon and Grill.

Sock Hop!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 15th for a good old-fashioned sock hop!  This fun event will include dinner and dancing.  Tickets are just $10.  Put on your penny loafers and poodle skirt for this super night of fun, fellowship and food.

Sunday Faith Formation… 3rd Sunday—February 16th

What is Lent? Why does Pastor’s hair change color? What are traditions, practices, and new ideas that speak to us during this season? During this Lenten season, why are we discussing spiritual gifts? What are those?

Join us as we prepare for this upcoming season  in our topical study for our third Sunday adult education after coffee hour on February 16th!

Walking Group

Our walking group meets the first and third Wednesday of the month at 2:30 pm.  We leave from Bethany and get outside for some light physical activity, and sometimes a light workout.  A great way to exercise and get a little fellowship at the same time.  Contact Pastor Megan for more information.

Breakfast Group

Our Breakfast Group meet Tuesday mornings at 8:00am at The Elks, 900 Ash Street in Kelso.   You need not be an Elk’s member to attend and if you arrive before 8, you get free coffee.  Women are encouraged to attend.  Need more info?  Contact Bill Zimmerman or Roger Lee.
