What’s Happening at Bethany:
Upcoming Events & Activities
Our walking group meets the first and third Wednesday of the month at 2:30 pm. We leave from Bethany and get outside for some light physical activity, and sometimes a light workout. A great way to exercise and get a little fellowship at the same time. Contact Pastor Megan for more information!
“The Garden” is a once monthly Wednesday evening worship service of word and music and we are looking for help with ushers, readers, soloists, and a mini-coffee hour. There is a sign-up sheet on the blue bulletin board in the hallway. Contact Pastor Megan or musician Susan Johnson for more information! Our next Garden service is Wednesday, December 19th at 6:45.
*Join us at 6pm for a potluck dinner before worship!*
An Advent Revelation
“A Study in Revelation”
Continuing with our tradition of studying apocalyptic text during the season of Advent, this year we will be exploring John’s vision in the book of Revelation! Following coffee hour, Sunday, December 16th.
Bethany Lutheran Book Club!
Reading is fundamental! And it’s an important part of our growing as disciples of Christ. Join us as we read “What is the Bible?” by Rob Bell. Then we will meet for a potluck and discuss the book on January 12th at 3:30. Contact Pastor Megan for more information!
2018-2019 Reading list available and signup on the blue & purple bulletin board at the church.
Our Breakfast Group will not meet until January 2019. Need more info? Contact Bill Zimmerman or Roger Lee.
Helping Others by Giving
In addition to helping our local families, the Giving Tree also has ELCA Good Gifts tags. You may wish to provide a meaningful gift to honor someone on your Christmas list. This is a gift that keeps on giving—give a cow, a chicken, etc. and help a needy family to sustain themselves in one of the 83 families the ELCA serves. (90% of your gift goes directly to serve a family in the program.) Be God’s Hands here on earth!
Thursday, December 20th at 6:30pm
You’re invited to join with council members and all members of our church to go over the next quarter. We’ll be looking at upcoming events and activities happening at Bethany and beginning the development of an official “Neighbors in Need” policy. Your input is encouraged, appreciated and welcomed.
