Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” ~ Luke 24:5b
Christ is risen! Alleluia! I love the Easter season. I love the flowers, the songs, the time with family gathered together. Although Easter Sunday has passed, the Easter season actually lasts for seven weeks. Yes! That’s seven weeks of pink hair for me, and seven weeks of getting to stand up in church declaring, “Christ is risen!” and getting to hear the refrain: “He is risen indeed, alleluia!”
And as we look ahead to this season, to this time of new life, new growth, I continue to find myself giving thanks for each and every one of you. I’m excited at the new card ministry team that is taking root in our church. I am looking forward to some much needed spring cleaning and planting in the coming weeks. I’m so looking forward to reaching out to our neighbors through service like with Community House, and the good stewardship of turning the old items we once kept into new items for someone else with our Rummage Sale.
This time of year is always one of bustle and joy, and I hope this Easter season you are able to find joy too.
Easter blessings to each and everyone of you today.
